The launch of the all-new iPhone X is a hot and trending topic these days and so it has spread amongst their MENA markets in the UAE. Many people in Dubai and Abu Dhabi – being very business and tech-oriented countries – are constantly up-to-date with the latest trends and technological advancements, and the launch of iPhone X is definitely a big one.

The question is, what is so special about the iPhone X?

Design

In comparison with iPhone’s other latest designs – the iPhone 8 – the iPhone X definitely wins in terms of thinness and size. The iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch display weighing at 174gr, while the iPhone 8 weighs at 202gr and the 4.7-inch display. So if we are talking about the display, the iPhone X is the one to go to. It definitely is much thinner and comfortable in your hands – making carrying around this phone much easier. The iPhone X also consists of almost nothing but screen with no borders and no wasted space. A home button is no longer an option. The iPhone X has gotten rid of it completely where it really seems to prove itself as a phone of the future.

The front and back side comes with glass and a stainless steel frame with water-resistant IP67.

Performance

The iPhone X comes with a hexa-core system-on-chip – which is two more than the quad-core chip of the iPhone 7. iPhone claimed the performance cores were 25 percent faster than those of the iPhone 7 A10. The A11 Bionic chip was said to be much more powerful with two high-performance cores and four efficiency ones. It said it can improve workloads 70 percent – great news for all those on-the-go workaholics out there. The iPhone X is definitely thought to be better in terms of quality and performances.

It comes with a 64GB and 256GB storage options, which makes storing no longer an issue. We are not sure how long the iPhone X will be able to withstand battery life, but we are definitely intrigued by the wireless charging. So the thing with the Qi charger is that it is really slow but apparently, the iPhone X comes with fast charging – as in 50 percent of its battery life in a span of 30 minutes. So for all those busy-goers living in Dubai, this may be the perfect phone for you.

The camera of the future

iPhones have been notorious for their camera work, so we are expecting big things from the iPhone X. The iPhone X camera still comes with the same specs at 12 megapixel and f/1.8 aperture for the main rear camera, however, Apple said it would come with 83 percent more light in the photos and 36 percent more light for the second rear sensors.

The second rear camera also has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), so in theory, it should create much clearer and brighter pictures. Now you can get better snaps and in low-light.

It can also record 4K videos at 60fps. Let us also not forget about the selfie camera, with some of the most advanced selfie cameras you have ever seen on a smartphone.

Conclusion

The iPhone X really can be concluded as the phone of the future and yes, it does cost a small fortune at AED 4,099. It is, however, the most high-tech iPhone we have ever seen, so a price like so is understandable. Overall, this high-tech phone is definitely one to try and watch out for. If you are a techie and living in Dubai, the iPhone X may be a good option for your needs.
