Meet Insta360 Go 3S: the tiny action cam that packs a 4K punch

Insta360 has answered the call of its loyal Go series fanbase by releasing the Go 3S, the world’s smallest action camera capable of shooting stunning 4K video. This upgrade from the 2.7K-limited Go 3 is a significant leap forward in resolution, all without sacrificing the camera’s incredibly compact size and weight.

The Go 3S is a versatile little beast, allowing you to capture unique perspectives that would be impossible with larger cameras or smartphones. Its ingenious magnetic mount enables you to attach it to various surfaces, from your clothing to your pet’s collar, opening up a world of creative possibilities.

Available as a standalone camera or bundled with the Action Pod, the Go 3S offers the flexibility of a GoPro-style action camera when paired with the pod. While the pod isn’t waterproof, the Go 3S itself is, with a doubled waterproof rating of up to 33 feet.

The Go 3S also boasts several other improvements over its predecessor. Slow-motion video capabilities have been boosted to 200fps, and gesture control has been added for convenient operation in noisy environments. Additionally, the camera is equipped with Apple Find My for easy tracking and Garmin/Coros stats overlay for fitness enthusiasts.

While the Go 3S may not match the image quality of flagship action cams like the GoPro Hero 12 Black and has a shorter battery life, its unique form factor and creative potential make it a compelling option for those seeking a compact and versatile camera. The increased resolution opens up new possibilities for editing and sharing videos across various platforms, thanks to the FreeFrame mode, which allows you to adjust the aspect ratio after shooting.

For those who already own the Go 3 and its Action Pod, the Go 3S can be purchased separately, offering a cost-effective upgrade path. If you’re looking for a fun, versatile, and pocket-friendly action camera that punches above its weight in terms of resolution, the Insta360 Go 3S might just be the perfect fit for your adventures.
