Huawei has opened pre-orders in the UAE for its new HUAWEI Watch GT 6 series, introduced globally last week at the company’s “Ride the Wind” event in Paris. The lineup includes the Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro, both emphasizing outdoor sports tracking, long-lasting performance, and a distinctive new design.
The most notable upgrade is battery life. The 46mm versions of both the GT 6 Pro and GT 6 claim up to 21 days of operation under light use, or 40 hours when using dual-band, full-constellation GPS. The smaller 41mm GT 6 model offers up to 14 days of battery life in typical scenarios and 25 hours with continuous GPS. Huawei is positioning this as a standout feature for users who train outdoors and need reliable endurance from their wearable.
Design is also a focus. The GT 6 Pro adopts a 46mm titanium alloy build with a six-facet cut design that creates a layered 3D effect, paired with sapphire glass and a ceramic rear case for durability. The GT 6 comes in both 41mm and 46mm variants: the smaller model introduces pivoting loop lugs for a better fit on slimmer wrists, while the larger size adds an octagonal mid-frame and raised bezel for a more angular look. Both emphasize scratch resistance and comfort.
For athletes, the series expands Huawei’s approach to sport-specific modes, with cycling getting particular attention. The watches support advanced metrics for both casual and competitive riders and can link with smartphones to act as a full cycling computer. The dual-band GPS system is designed to improve tracking accuracy during activities like running, hiking, or cycling in challenging environments.
Health and wellness features have also been upgraded. Powered by Huawei’s TruSense system, the GT 6 series incorporates more sensitive emotion detection, offering insights into stress and mood fluctuations alongside standard heart rate, sleep, and fitness monitoring. The watch provides suggestions for managing stress and maintaining focus throughout the day, extending its role beyond exercise tracking.
Pre-orders in the UAE are priced at AED 799, with a AED 100 discount available until October 10. Buyers also receive three months of Huawei Health+ and one month of VIP Watch Face access as part of the promotion.
