Huawei held its latest product launch event in Paris under the theme “Ride the Wind,” introducing a wide range of new devices across its wearable, smartphone, tablet, and audio categories. The lineup included the Huawei Watch GT 6 Series, Watch Ultimate 2, Watch D2, the nova 14 smartphone series, FreeBuds 7i, and the MatePad 12 X tablet. The company also outlined its “Now is Yours” brand message and launched the 2025 edition of its GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity, a digital art competition aimed at younger audiences.
The Watch GT 6 Series is pitched toward fitness and outdoor activity, offering a claimed 21-day battery life and improved GPS accuracy through what Huawei calls the TruSense System. The watch supports over 100 workout modes, with updates focused on cycling, trail running, golf, and skiing. Cycling now includes a virtual power meter, while trail running introduces features like altitude trend charts and real-time gradient tracking. Golf mode adds course maps, and skiing integrates enhanced positioning for slope tracking.

The Watch Ultimate 2 is notable for being rated to withstand dives of up to 150 meters and includes sonar-based communication for watch-to-watch messaging at shallower depths. An emergency SOS function works underwater at up to 60 meters. The Watch D2, meanwhile, continues Huawei’s push into health monitoring, offering expanded blood pressure tracking with reminders and ambulatory measurements.

On the smartphone side, the nova 14 Series highlights portrait photography. Its Ultra Chroma Camera and updated XD Portrait Engine aim to deliver more detailed shots in both daylight and low-light environments. The front camera, a 50MP unit with autofocus and 5x portrait zoom, is paired with AI editing tools such as automatic expression correction and object removal.

Huawei also introduced the MatePad 12 X PaperMatte Edition, a tablet designed with a glare-reducing display. It works with the new M-Pencil Pro stylus, which adds shortcuts such as twist-to-switch brushes and instant access to notes.

In addition to hardware announcements, the company launched GoPaint 2025, an art initiative with categories ranging from traditional digital painting to sci-fi art and animation. The initiative is part of Huawei’s wider attempt to build cultural engagement, especially with younger users.
The company’s “Now is Yours” campaign was also presented as a broader brand direction, focusing on inclusivity and a youth-oriented narrative. Huawei positioned this as part of its effort to maintain relevance with global consumers in a competitive technology market.
Huawei Consumer Business Group, one of three core divisions of the company, oversees its global consumer product portfolio, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, and audio devices. The division operates in over 170 countries and maintains multiple R&D centers worldwide.
