Huawei has launched the Pura 80 in the UAE, positioning it as a minimalist flagship phone with strong performance and advanced camera capabilities. The device is now available through Huawei’s official online and retail stores for AED 2,699, in three color finishes: Frosted Gold, Frosted Black, and Frosted White.

The Pura 80 continues Huawei’s focus on imaging, headlined by a 50 MP Ultra Lighting Camera with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0 for better control in different lighting conditions. It is supported by a 12 MP periscope telephoto lens and a 13 MP ultra-wide camera, with Huawei’s Ultra Chroma system designed to improve color reproduction in low-light scenes. A new Moving Picture mode captures 1.5 seconds of motion before and after the shutter is pressed, giving still shots a short, dynamic clip effect.

Design-wise, the phone emphasizes clean lines and flat edges, paired with a frosted glass back produced using a sandblasting process that creates a matte, textured finish. The result is a minimalist aesthetic intended to balance practicality with premium build quality.

On the display front, the Pura 80 debuts Huawei’s X-True Display, a 6.7-inch panel with 460 ppi pixel density, HDR support, and an adaptive refresh rate that scales between 1Hz and 120Hz. Huawei says this enables both efficient power use and smoother performance across browsing, gaming, and media playback.

Durability and power are supported by 2nd-Generation Kunlun Glass and a 5,170 mAh battery, with fast-charging capabilities up to 66W wired and 50W wireless. These specifications aim to balance high performance with everyday reliability.

The Pura 80 enters the UAE market as part of Huawei’s broader strategy to compete in the flagship segment, emphasizing design, photography, and display technology while keeping pricing competitive against rivals.
