Huawei launches free service upgrade program for device maintenance in UAE

Huawei has introduced a new long-term initiative in the UAE called the Service Upgrade Program, offering free maintenance and support for its devices. Unlike short-term promotional care packages the company has run in the past, this program is positioned as a permanent service model that removes many of the costs traditionally associated with after-sales care.

Through the program, Huawei users can access a range of support options at no charge. These include consultations for setup and usage, cleaning services to remove dust and debris, and performance diagnostics to spot early issues such as battery wear. System renewals are also part of the package, designed to keep devices secure and up to date. For those unable to visit a service center in person, Huawei is providing free round-trip shipping, allowing customers to send in devices for maintenance.

The services can be booked at Huawei Authorized Service Centers across the UAE, or remotely through the My HUAWEI app, the Huawei Support website, or hotline. By removing service fees and offering flexible access points, the company is presenting the initiative as a way to extend the life of devices while reducing overall ownership costs.

This move builds on earlier Huawei efforts such as the Service Giving Season, which provided temporary perks like complimentary screen protectors and seasonal device refresh services. The new program marks a shift toward embedding support into the ongoing user experience rather than relying on periodic campaigns.

For Huawei, the Service Upgrade Program is also a way to differentiate itself in a market where after-sales care is often limited or costly. By making maintenance routine and accessible, the company is aiming to strengthen customer loyalty and reduce barriers to keeping older devices in circulation longer.

Whether other electronics manufacturers will follow suit remains to be seen, but Huawei’s decision to make maintenance free of charge raises expectations around what consumers should expect from long-term support. For now, the program offers a tangible benefit to users in the UAE, particularly those seeking to maximize the lifespan of their devices without incurring additional expense.
