HONOR, in partnership with UAE telecom group e&, has opened pre-orders for its latest foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V5. The device will debut in several colors, but the Ivory White edition is being positioned as an exclusive option available only to UAE buyers through e&, with retail pricing set at AED 6,499.
The Magic V5 enters a crowded foldable market where design, durability, and battery life remain key differentiators. HONOR is promoting the phone’s slim 8.8mm profile and what it claims is the largest battery yet in a foldable device, a 5,820mAh unit. The company also points to durability upgrades and tighter AI integration, including Google Gemini support and its own Magic Sidebar feature for quick multitasking.
Pre-order incentives in the UAE are notable. Customers who reserve the device—whether in Ivory White, Dawn Gold, Reddish Brown, or Black—will receive a bundle valued at AED 3,695. The package includes a HONOR Magic Pen, an additional case, a 12-month screen protection plan under HONOR VIP Care+, 24 months of customized service, and a Bose SoundLink Revolve+ II Bluetooth speaker.

The decision to partner exclusively with e& for the Ivory White model reflects a wider trend of smartphone makers using limited-edition colorways to drive early sales and regional exclusivity. Such deals also strengthen the role of carriers and technology groups in promoting high-end devices in competitive markets like the UAE.
While HONOR emphasizes style and premium positioning with the Magic V5, its success will likely depend on how well the device performs against established rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series and Huawei’s foldables, both of which have loyal followings and strong regional presence. Pricing also places it firmly in the flagship tier, meaning expectations for longevity, multitasking efficiency, and software support will be high.
Pre-orders are currently available through e& retail stores and online platforms, ahead of general availability later this year.
