HONOR made a strong impression at GITEX Global 2025, marking its debut appearance at the region’s largest technology showcase with a display that underscored its growing leadership in human-centric AI innovation. The company used its presence to demonstrate how its ecosystem of smart devices and cross-platform AI solutions is shaping the next phase of intelligent living and digital transformation across the UAE and the GCC.

“GITEX represents an opportunity to highlight HONOR’s role as a global AI ecosystem leader,” said Debo Zhang, General Manager of HONOR GCC. “Our focus is on human-centered innovation — connecting devices, services, and platforms to make everyday experiences smarter, simpler, and more meaningful.” He also revealed plans for a new HONOR Experience Store at Dubai Mall, designed as an AI Smart Living Innovation Hub, blending interactive technology with cultural inspiration.

A showcase of human-centered AI

At the event, HONOR introduced visitors to its AI Experience Zone, an interactive space illustrating the company’s concept of AI Smart Living. The exhibit highlighted how HONOR’s AI-powered devices enhance creativity, communication, and productivity through seamless cross-device integration.

In the Mobile AI Experience Zone, visitors explored features powered by MagicOS, including the Magic Side Bar on the HONOR Magic V5, Magic Portal on the Magic7 Pro, and the integration of Google Agent for intuitive task management like scheduling and reminders. The Triple Screen and Gemini Experience demonstrated how foldable devices can manage multiple connected screens and applications with fluid control.

Meanwhile, the AI Ecosystem Experience Zone showcased HONOR’s Cross-OS connectivity, linking the Magic V5with devices such as the MacBook, iPhone 16, and MagicBook Pro 14+. The Magic Ring feature illustrated unified mouse-and-keyboard control across HONOR’s ecosystem, while MagicPad AI Writing Tools gave users hands-on experience with AI-assisted drawing, writing, and creative production.

These demonstrations reflected HONOR’s broader vision: to make AI an invisible, intuitive companion that simplifies complex tasks and supports everyday life without intruding on it.

Partnerships and innovation leadership

A major highlight of HONOR’s GITEX presence was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zayed University. The partnership focuses on AI innovation, applied research, curriculum development, and the creation of advanced computing labs — part of HONOR’s effort to nurture local AI talent and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.

At TechTalks 24, Debo Zhang delivered a keynote titled “Empowering Users Against AI Deepfakes,” where HONOR introduced its on-device AI Deepfake Detection technology — the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. The tool allows users to identify manipulated media in real time while maintaining data privacy, reinforcing HONOR’s emphasis on responsible and transparent AI use.

The company also collaborated with the UAE Cybersecurity Council to present the AI CyberFest AI Startup Challenge, an initiative aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs and advancing the UAE’s AI Strategy 2031. The challenge encourages innovation in cybersecurity and digital transformation, highlighting HONOR’s active role in supporting the region’s growing AI ecosystem.

Unbreakable design: HONOR X9d

Adding a touch of excitement to the event, HONOR unveiled the HONOR X9d, branded as the “Unbreakable AI Smartphone.” Attendees were invited to test the device’s durability through interactive challenges showcasing its resistance to dust, heat, and water pressure. With an 8,300 mAh battery, reinforced construction, and advanced AI optimization, the X9d is designed for reliability in demanding environments. The model will open for pre-orders in the GCC on October 23.

As HONOR continues to expand its AI ecosystem, its message remains consistent: technology should empower, not overwhelm, helping people live smarter, safer, and more creatively connected lives.
