Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is almost here, and Treyarch is packing its November 14 launch with a massive amount of multiplayer content. The studio has revealed the complete list of maps, modes, and operators available on day one—before the first seasonal update even begins.
At launch, Black Ops 7 will feature 18 multiplayer maps. Sixteen of these are designed for standard 6v6 play, while two are large-scale 20v20 arenas built for the game’s new Skirmish mode. Most of the maps are brand new, but several returning favorites from Black Ops 2—including Express, Hijacked, and Raid—make a comeback with updated visuals. A near-future version of Nuketown 2025 will also arrive shortly after launch as a pre-season bonus map.
Confirmed launch maps include:
Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, Toshin, Colossus, Den, Flagship, Homestead, Paranoia, Retrieval, Scar, Express (BO2), Hijacked (BO2), Raid (BO2), Mission: Edge (Skirmish), and Mission: Tide (Skirmish).
As for game modes, Treyarch isn’t holding back. Twelve multiplayer modes will be available from the start, including longtime staples like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, and Hardpoint. The biggest additions are Skirmish, the new 20v20 mode that blends large-team tactics with objective play, and Overload, a 6v6 respawn mode built around a tug-of-war-style objective. In Overload, teams battle to capture and deliver an energy device while defending the carrier—a mode designed with Call of Duty League competition in mind.
Full list of day-one modes:
Overload, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, Kill Confirmed, Free-for-All, Hardpoint, Kill Order, Control, Face Off Moshpit, Skirmish (20v20), and Gunfight (2v2).
On the operator front, Black Ops 7 will feature 24 playable characters at launch. Many will be available immediately, while others unlock through progression or the premium $100 Vault Edition. Familiar faces like Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Weaver are joined by newcomers such as Kagan, Vermaak, and Falkner.
Select operators, including Harper, Karma, Reaper EWR-3, and T.E.D.D., are exclusive to the Vault Edition. Others, like Kagan and Vermaak, will unlock at higher player levels.
Treyarch has also outlined plans for Season 1, which will expand the game with six additional multiplayer maps, three Zombies maps, new weapons, and time-limited events.
With 18 launch maps, a mix of fresh and returning modes, and two dozen operators to grind for, Black Ops 7 looks to be one of the most content-heavy multiplayer launches in the series’ history. Whether that’s enough to satisfy veterans and new players alike will depend on how well it balances nostalgia with the studio’s new mechanics and large-scale ambitions.
