Google has officially launched its AI video generation tool, Veo 2, across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), expanding access to Arabic-speaking users and further integrating the model into its Gemini Advanced platform. Starting April 16, users can create and share short AI-generated videos directly through Gemini on web and mobile, with support for multiple languages including Arabic and English.
Veo 2 enables the creation of eight-second video clips in 720p resolution using simple text prompts. The output is delivered in MP4 format with a 16:9 landscape orientation, making it accessible for sharing across platforms. Users can input prompts to guide the style, tone, and content of the clip, while the model handles the visual interpretation.
The AI behind Veo 2 is designed to simulate more natural movement and realistic environments by better understanding the physics of the real world and human motion. This results in smoother animation and more visually rich scenes, whether the prompt involves everyday activities, imaginative scenarios, or cinematic storytelling.
Each video created through Veo 2 includes a SynthID watermark, a digital signature embedded in every frame. This feature ensures transparency by signaling that the video was generated using artificial intelligence.
The rollout of Veo 2 begins today and will continue in stages over the coming weeks. Access is available globally through Gemini on the web at gemini.google.com and on mobile via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
With Veo 2, Gemini Advanced users in the MENA region now have new tools to explore visual creativity in their preferred language, adding to the growing list of AI-powered features available on Google’s platform.
