After being around for around 14 years now, Google has confirmed that Gmail is getting a major redesign. The Verge shared images of the new design with new features and additions like snoozing, smart replies and modular sidebar that allows integration with other Google apps.

The new sidebar features Calendar, Keep, and other apps giving you the option of scheduling invites and adding reminders without leaving gmail. The new design adopts Google’s Material Design.
The revamped Gmail will also give users a “confidential mode” which enables an expiration date on messages. Once time is out, the message wont be forwarded, copied, downloaded, or printed.
The new rollout should start next month.
