At Gamescom 2025, NVIDIA outlined a wide-ranging set of updates across its GeForce RTX ecosystem, reinforcing its push into both high-end PC hardware and cloud-based gaming. Among the announcements were upcoming support for the Blackwell architecture in GeForce NOW, broader adoption of DLSS 4 in major titles, new features for the NVIDIA App, and the debut of a limited-time Borderlands 4 GPU bundle.
One of the most significant developments is the integration of NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture into GeForce NOW, marking the platform’s most substantial upgrade yet. This move brings RTX 5080-class performance to the cloud, enabling DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, 5K resolution support, and 120fps streaming. With this hardware boost, GeForce NOW’s library is also doubling, now supporting over 4,500 titles via a new “Install-to-Play” feature that broadens compatibility with players’ existing PC libraries. A new Cinematic Quality Streaming mode is also debuting, aimed at enhancing graphical fidelity through improved color accuracy and smoother visuals. Expanded device support now includes high refresh rate playback on LG TVs, racing wheels, and improved Steam Deck performance. Additionally, new social features allow Fortnite players to launch GeForce NOW sessions directly via Discord, with one-hour free trials included.

DLSS 4 continues its rollout, now available in over 175 games and applications. The latest iteration of NVIDIA’s frame generation technology uses AI to produce multiple frames per render, significantly boosting performance on RTX 50 and 40 Series GPUs. Upcoming titles including Resident Evil Requiem, PRAGMATA, and Cinder City will launch with DLSS 4 and, in some cases, ray tracing and path tracing enhancements. Borderlands 4, arriving September 12, will also feature DLSS 4 support from day one.

To coincide with Borderlands 4’s release, NVIDIA is launching a limited-time GPU bundle. Buyers of eligible RTX 50 Series cards or laptops will receive a digital copy of the game along with the exclusive Gilded Glory Pack, which includes themed cosmetics for all four Vault Hunters and additional in-game items. The promotion runs through September 22 at participating retailers.

In addition, NVIDIA is pushing new features to its desktop app starting August 19. The update introduces global DLSS overrides, Smooth Motion for RTX 40 Series cards, and a more streamlined interface for NVIDIA Surround setups. Project G-Assist—NVIDIA’s AI assistant for PC optimization—is also getting a broader rollout. It now supports RTX GPUs with at least 6GB of VRAM and runs on a lighter model that uses 40% less memory while offering improved stability and performance. Users can access this update via beta or wait for the general release next week.

For those using the NVIDIA app, a small bonus is being offered in the form of a Marvel Rivals reward—an exclusive Doctor Strange skin available for a limited time.
Collectively, these announcements reflect NVIDIA’s focus on pushing cloud gaming performance closer to local hardware standards while continuing to evolve its AI-powered features across platforms. With DLSS 4 gaining traction and Blackwell architecture reaching GeForce NOW, NVIDIA is clearly betting that both PC and cloud gamers will benefit from its wider ecosystem in the months ahead.
