ElevenLabs debuts mobile voice generation app for iOS and Android

ElevenLabs has launched a dedicated mobile app for voice generation, making its AI-powered text-to-speech technology more accessible to users on iOS and Android. Previously confined to its web platform, the company now offers a streamlined native mobile experience for generating voice clips on the go.

The new app allows users to input or paste text, select from a range of synthetic voices, and quickly generate audio. It supports the latest v3 alpha text-to-speech models, which enable more expressive outputs using tags for emotional control. The app integrates with the same credit system as the web version, giving users a shared allowance—about 10 minutes of audio for free-tier accounts—and options to select different model qualities to manage output costs.

The move responds to strong mobile engagement from users who previously accessed the ElevenLabs web tool through mobile browsers. According to the company, many creators were already using the service in tandem with editing apps like CapCut, Instagram, and InShot, prompting demand for a mobile-native interface that reduces friction and enhances usability.

This marks ElevenLabs’ second foray into consumer apps, following the release of its Reader app, which allows users to listen to written content like articles, PDFs, and e-books. That app has since expanded to support audiobook distribution for publishers, further signaling the company’s interest in audio content ecosystems.

In the broader market, ElevenLabs will now be competing more directly with mobile-focused voice synthesis tools like Speechify and Captions. The new app launch also lays the groundwork for upcoming features, including speech-to-text conversion, conversational AI tools, and integration with services like 11.ai, powered by its own MCP infrastructure.

By moving into mobile, ElevenLabs aims to solidify its position in a growing field of voice generation tools tailored for creators, educators, and media professionals seeking quick, high-quality audio production directly from their devices.
