Amazon has introduced a new lineup of Echo devices, highlighting audio improvements, updated designs, and hardware built to handle more advanced AI features in the future. The range includes the Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11, all of which will be available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia by the end of 2025.
The Echo Dot Max is the first Dot to feature a two-speaker system, offering nearly three times the bass of the previous Echo Dot. A redesigned housing integrates the speaker module directly into the device to maximize air space, resulting in deeper bass and more balanced sound in a compact form factor.

Echo Studio, a smaller and reworked version of the high-end smart speaker, promises room-filling sound with spatial audio and Dolby Atmos support. The device combines a high-excursion woofer with three full-range drivers and is wrapped in a new spherical design with 3D-knit fabric for acoustic transparency. the model has also been updated the light ring with a more visual interaction model.
The Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 update the smart displays with higher-resolution panels that use in-cell touch and negative liquid crystal technology to improve viewing angles and clarity in different lighting conditions. Both models include new stereo speakers and a custom woofer, with drivers positioned under the “floating” displays to direct sound forward. A 13-megapixel camera supports clearer video calls, and an optional adjustable stand will be sold separately.

All four devices run on the new AZ3 silicon, with the Echo Studio, Show 8, and Show 11 upgraded to the more powerful AZ3 Pro. These chips are paired with an AI accelerator to handle future large-scale language models and vision-based tasks. The Omnisense sensor platform is also integrated, using inputs from microphones, cameras, ultrasound, and Wi-Fi signals to enable more context-aware Alexa interactions.

These devices are positioned as the most advanced Echo lineup yet, designed to support Alexa+—its generative AI upgrade—when it launches in the UAE and KSA. In the meantime, the hardware improvements aim to provide faster, more natural interactions and stronger performance across audio, display, and smart assistant functions.
