EA Sports FC 26 Team of the Season returns with fan voting

EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports FC Mobile have launched the latest edition of Team of the Season, the annual Football Ultimate Team campaign that lets fans help select the standout players from the 2025/26 football season.

The initiative, which has become a fixture in the series, gives the global community a direct role in debating and voting on the best performers across major leagues. This year’s process begins with shortlists from the Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga, allowing supporters to influence the final squads through online and social media voting.

Premier League voting runs from 7 to 10 April, followed by Bundesliga voting from 14 to 17 April and LaLiga from 28 April to 1 May. The resulting Team of the Season squads will roll out in stages for both EA Sports FC 26 and the mobile version, building toward an Ultimate TOTS release at the end of each campaign.

For EA Sports FC 26, the main phase spans 17 April to 29 May, with individual league squads appearing weekly: Serie A from 17 to 24 April, Premier League and Barclays Women’s Super League from 24 April to 1 May, Bundesliga and Frauen-Bundesliga from 1 to 8 May, Ligue 1 and Arkema Première Ligue from 8 to 15 May, and LaLiga and Liga F from 15 to 22 May. Ultimate TOTS follows from 22 to 29 May.

On EA Sports FC Mobile, the schedule starts slightly later, running from 22 April to 3 June. Premier League items arrive first from 22 to 29 April, then Bundesliga from 29 April to 6 May, Ligue 1 from 6 to 13 May, LaLiga from 13 to 20 May, Serie A from 20 to 27 May, and Ultimate TOTS from 27 May to 3 June.

One noticeable change this year is the voting format. Instead of being locked into the usual 4-3-3 shape, fans can now pick from five different formations when casting their ballots. This adjustment offers more flexibility to reflect how supporters view the season’s dominant attackers, midfielders and defenders.

The campaign arrives as many players are already preparing their squads with the Icons Edition of EA Sports FC 26, which provides early access to untradeable player picks and a gold starting XI pack of 84-rated or higher items. These bonuses are designed to help build competitive teams ahead of the new content drops, though certain high-profile special items from earlier events are excluded.

Team of the Season remains one of the most participatory elements in the Football Ultimate Team mode, continuing a tradition that dates back through previous FIFA and EA Sports FC titles. While it generates significant engagement, the outcomes often spark debate among fans who feel certain players are overlooked or overrated depending on club loyalty and individual performance metrics.

Voting for the Premier League edition is open now, with final XIs scheduled to be revealed in the coming weeks according to the published timeline.
