e& United Arab Emirates has once again come out on top in global network performance rankings, securing multiple awards from Ookla for the first half of 2025. The telecom operator has been named the World’s Fastest Mobile Network for Q1–Q2 2025, marking the fourth time it has received this distinction—an achievement unmatched by any other provider worldwide.
During the award period, e& UAE recorded a Speed Score of 88.05, with average mobile download speeds reaching 667.82 Mbps and uploads averaging 39.16 Mbps. The company also held its lead in 5G performance, winning the World’s Fastest 5G Network award for the third consecutive time. Here, e& UAE posted a Speed Score of 81.94, with average 5G download speeds of 853.52 Mbps and uploads at 52.21 Mbps.
Beyond mobile, e& UAE was recognized for fixed broadband performance across the Gulf region. It earned the Speedtest Award for the GCC’s Fastest Fixed Network with a Speed Score of 76.34, including peak download speeds of 875.15 Mbps and top upload speeds of 325.91 Mbps.
Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, stressed that its methodology only allows national winners of “Fastest Network” to be considered for the global title, underscoring the weight of these awards. While several operators worldwide continue to deliver strong results, e& UAE remains the only one to secure the global mobile award four times.
These awards reflect broader competitive dynamics in the telecom sector, where operators are racing to expand 5G coverage and deliver higher-speed broadband services to meet growing demand for data-intensive applications. For consumers, sustained recognition for speed performance can influence brand perception in an increasingly commoditized market.
e& UAE’s latest wins add to its track record of performance benchmarks across both mobile and fixed networks, signaling continued investment in infrastructure as connectivity expectations rise.
