DJI, renowned for its drone technology, is expanding into the e-bike market with its groundbreaking Avinox drive system and the launch of its new e-bike brand, Amflow. Their first offering, the Amflow PL electric mountain bike, is set to make a splash in the industry with its impressive specs and innovative features.
The Amflow PL showcases DJI’s Avinox drive system, delivering a powerful 120Nm of max torque and 1000W of on-demand boost power. This mid-drive motor, designed for optimal performance, remains “remarkably quiet” while providing 250W of nominal output with an 850W peak. The removable 800Wh battery utilizes GaN technology for rapid charging, reaching 75% capacity in just 1.5 hours.

Despite its robust power and battery, the Amflow PL remains surprisingly lightweight at just 19.2kg, thanks to its carbon fiber frame and Avinox drive system. It also features a 2-inch OLED touchscreen display integrated into the frame, providing access to riding data and a range of features through the Avinox app.
The Amflow PL is packed with innovative features like a built-in alarm system, four pedal-assist modes including a self-adjusting auto mode, and a USB charging port for your phone or bike computer. The full-suspension system from Fox and a frame compatible with both 27.5-inch and 29-inch rear wheels add to its versatility.
DJI’s foray into e-bikes is a natural progression, leveraging its expertise in battery and motor technology developed for drones and camera stabilization systems. The company also brings experience from its work on intelligent driving solutions for automobiles in China.

The Amflow PL, expected to launch in Q4, will be priced between €7,000 and €12,000, placing it in the premium e-bike segment. It will initially be available through authorized dealers in Germany, the UK, Australia, and other select markets.
