CMF has introduced the Headphone Pro, its first pair of over-ear headphones and the company’s latest attempt to expand into personal audio. Unlike many traditional models in this category, the Headphone Pro leans on a modular design, giving users the option to swap ear cushions and alter the headphones’ look as well as aspects of their sound profile. The product launches in three color options—dark grey, light grey, and light green—and is priced at $100, AED/SAR 369.

The modular approach is more than just cosmetic. Swappable cushions allow users to adjust comfort and style, while a set of physical controls provides a tactile alternative to touch-based systems. The headphones feature a scrollable roller for volume and playback, an energy slider for shifting between bass and treble emphasis, and a customizable button that can be mapped to functions such as spatial audio.
Sound quality is supported by 40mm nickel-plated drivers paired with a copper voice coil and dual-chamber design, aiming to deliver reduced distortion and fuller bass response. The headphones also support high-resolution audio through LDAC, with wireless bitrates up to 990 kbps, alongside Hi-Res certification for wired and wireless playback.
Noise cancellation is handled by a hybrid adaptive ANC system capable of reducing up to 40 dB of ambient sound. The system automatically adjusts to environmental conditions, with multiple levels of intensity. CMF has also included personalized audio tuning through Audiodo technology, which creates an individual sound profile based on a user’s hearing sensitivities and ear canal shape.

Battery performance is another focal point. The Headphone Pro is rated for up to 100 hours of playback on a single charge, or 50 hours with ANC enabled. A quick charge option delivers up to four hours of listening in just five minutes, while a full recharge via USB-C takes under two hours. Notably, the headphones can also be topped up directly from a smartphone using a USB-C to USB-C cable.
The inclusion of spatial audio modes further broadens use cases, with settings designed for both films and live-style music playback. These features place the Headphone Pro in line with the growing number of mid-range over-ear headphones that attempt to balance personalization, extended battery life, and higher fidelity sound.
CMF’s entry into the over-ear segment reflects a broader trend among newer tech brands that seek to reframe legacy product categories with updated aesthetics and more flexible user control. Whether the Headphone Pro will find traction depends less on its modular charm and more on how it compares in daily use against entrenched players in the market, particularly in sound performance and long-term durability.
