BOOX is expanding its lineup of portable eReaders with the introduction of the Go 7 and the upcoming Go Color 7 (Gen II), offering a blend of lightweight design, handwriting support, and versatile reading options. Available now, the BOOX Go 7 is priced at $249.99 in the U.S., with the Go Color 7 (Gen II) expected to launch soon at $279.99.

The BOOX Go 7 features a 7-inch E Ink Carta 1300 monochrome display, delivering sharp text at 300 PPI, closely mimicking the appearance of traditional paper. Its companion, the Go Color 7 (Gen II), introduces an E Ink Kaleido 3 screen, capable of producing vibrant color content at 150 PPI while preserving the same high clarity for black-and-white reading. Both models are equipped with adjustable front lights, allowing users to comfortably read across a range of lighting environments.

A key upgrade for the series is the introduction of handwriting functionality. For the first time in BOOX’s 7-inch lineup, both models support stylus input through the BOOX InkSense pen. Users can annotate books, take notes, highlight text, or quickly sketch ideas directly on the screen, providing a more dynamic experience that extends beyond passive reading.

Running on Android 13, the BOOX Go 7 and Go Color 7 (Gen II) offer full access to the Google Play Store, supporting a wide range of apps beyond eBooks, including podcast platforms, productivity tools, and more. Each device is equipped with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot for expanded capacity, ensuring smooth performance whether users are managing documents or enjoying multimedia content.

Designed with portability in mind, both models weigh just 195g and are crafted for comfortable one-handed use. The devices feature a textured back for a secure grip, wide bezels for easier handling, and newly introduced ergonomic page-turn buttons. The Go 7 is available in black and white finishes, while the Go Color 7 (Gen II) is offered in a deep navy blue. A water-repellent build offers added protection against spills and light rain, emphasizing durability alongside style.

The BOOX Go 7 is currently available for purchase through the official BOOX. The Go Color 7 (Gen II) is anticipated to release shortly. For readers seeking a lightweight, versatile device that combines immersive reading with instant note-taking, the new BOOX Go series offers a compelling option.
