Razer has expanded its gaming headset lineup with a new color option for the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed. The wireless gaming headphones are now available in a white edition, offering an alternative to the darker designs that typically dominate gaming accessories. The new version keeps the same hardware as the original model but introduces subtle color accents that vary depending on whether the headset is intended for PlayStation or Xbox users.
Priced at around $100, the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed sits in the mid-range category of wireless gaming headsets. Razer is positioning the headset as an accessible option for players who want wireless connectivity and long battery life without moving into the higher price brackets often associated with premium gaming audio gear.
The white edition maintains the overall design language of the BlackShark series, which has historically focused on lightweight construction and a relatively understated appearance compared with more aggressive gaming headsets. According to Razer, the headset weighs about 270 grams, a specification aimed at making it comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

Inside the headset are Razer’s second-generation TriForce 50 mm drivers. The company’s TriForce driver design separates audio frequencies into different components to handle bass, mids, and highs more independently. In theory, this approach helps produce clearer sound across different ranges, which can be useful in games where positional audio and environmental cues matter.
For voice communication, the headset includes a detachable 9.9 mm cardioid microphone. Cardioid microphones are designed to focus on the speaker’s voice while reducing background noise from other directions, which can help keep voice chat clearer during multiplayer sessions.
Connectivity is handled through Razer’s SmartSwitch Dual Wireless system. The feature allows the headset to maintain a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless connection while also supporting Bluetooth. This setup gives users the option to connect to multiple devices or switch between platforms without constantly re-pairing the headset.
Battery life varies depending on the platform being used. Razer says the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed can run for up to 48 hours when connected to consoles such as the PlayStation 5 or Xbox. When used with a PC, the headset’s battery life can extend to as much as 70 hours under certain conditions.
The headset also supports fast charging. A quick 15-minute charge can provide roughly six hours of use, which can be useful for players who need to quickly top up the battery before a gaming session.
While the new white version does not introduce new hardware features, the additional color option may appeal to users who prefer a lighter setup or want their accessories to match white-themed consoles, controllers, or desk setups. Gaming hardware manufacturers have increasingly expanded color options in recent years as setups and aesthetics have become a bigger part of gaming culture and streaming environments.
The BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed in white is now available through Razer’s official website, joining the existing versions already on the market.
