BenQ has launched its EW90U Series of 4K monitors in India, designed to cater to modern hybrid lifestyles that blend work, entertainment, and casual gaming needs. The lineup includes two models: the 27-inch EW2790U and the 32-inch EW3290U, both offering a combination of advanced visual technology, immersive audio, and ergonomic features.
According to Rajeev Singh, Managing Director of BenQ India, the EW90U series reflects the company’s focus on creating displays that serve as a single screen for productivity and leisure. “These monitors are built for today’s dynamic users who demand versatility, whether working from home, streaming movies, or gaming casually,” he stated during the launch announcement.
Both models feature true 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) and support HDR10 with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, delivering enhanced brightness and contrast for sharper and more realistic visuals. The EW2790U covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, making it suitable for content creators requiring accurate colour grading. The larger EW3290U extends this coverage to 98 percent, enhancing its suitability for professionals working with high-end visual content or those who prioritise cinematic colour performance in their home entertainment setup.
An AI-Optimised Contrast feature dynamically adjusts contrast levels in real-time based on ambient lighting and on-screen visuals, enhancing the overall viewing experience whether users are working on spreadsheets or watching HDR movies.
In terms of audio, the EW2790U is equipped with dual 5W treVolo speakers, while the EW3290U features a 2.1 channel audio setup comprising twin 2W speakers paired with a 5W woofer. Both monitors offer six audio presets including Cinema, Dialogue, and Game, enabling users to tailor the sound output to their specific content type.
The EW3290U model adds further convenience and ergonomic features, including a dedicated remote control, scenario hotkeys for quick mode switching, and compatibility with BenQ’s Display Pilot 2 software. This software package includes a Pomodoro timer for productivity management and an audio equaliser for custom sound settings. For eye comfort, both monitors integrate BenQ’s suite of eye-care technologies, including Low Blue Light Plus, Flicker-Free display, and Brightness Intelligence Plus Gen2, designed for extended viewing sessions without strain.
Connectivity is robust on both models, featuring USB-C ports with 65W Power Delivery, HDMI 2.0 inputs, and USB-A ports to accommodate modern laptops, desktops, and peripherals seamlessly.
The EW2790U is priced at Rs 28,498, while the EW3290U carries a retail price of Rs 40,998. Both models are available through leading online retailers and authorised BenQ offline partners across India.
