Belkin has issued an urgent recall of its BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K (model number BPD005) due to a potential fire hazard. The company has identified a manufacturing defect that could lead to overheating of the device’s lithium cells, posing a fire risk to consumers.

While no injuries have been reported, Belkin is urging customers to immediately stop using the affected charger/power bank. The company is offering a full refund to anyone who purchased the product, which originally retailed for $99.99.

To initiate the return process, customers can visit Belkin’s dedicated support page and complete a form with their personal information and product details. A copy of the purchase receipt and a photo of the charger/power bank (front and back) are also required. Importantly, customers should retain the device until Belkin provides further instructions on safe disposal.

This recall serves as a reminder of the potential risks associated with lithium-ion batteries and the importance of using reputable charging accessories. If you own the affected Belkin product, take immediate action to ensure your safety and receive a full refund.
