Baseus BH1 headphones offer budget-friendly noise cancellation and LDAC streaming

Baseus has introduced the BH1, a new pair of over-ear Bluetooth headphones now available in China at 249 yuan (around $35). Positioned as an affordable option for users who want active noise cancellation and high-resolution wireless audio, the BH1 makes a case for solid features without a premium price tag.

The headphones include hybrid active noise cancellation rated up to -45dB, combining a triple-layer isolation structure with a four-microphone setup and adaptive ANC 3.0. This adaptive system continuously responds to environmental noise, adjusting the ANC performance in real time—up to 380,000 times per second. While this may sound excessive for typical use, it reflects the headphone’s emphasis on consistent noise management across varied settings.

Audio is delivered via 40mm dynamic drivers supported by a dual-chamber acoustic design and a proprietary low-frequency enhancement system, targeting bass response down to 20Hz. The BH1 supports LDAC codec streaming, enabling playback at up to 96kHz/24-bit quality for users with compatible devices. Both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Wireless certifications are present, though the value of these certifications varies depending on listener expectations and the source material.

Battery life is another notable highlight. The 600mAh battery delivers up to 80 hours of playback without ANC and around 55 hours with ANC enabled. A 10-minute quick charge reportedly provides up to 12 hours of use. Charging is handled through a USB-C port, and the BH1 also supports wired listening via a 3.5mm AUX connection—maintaining ANC functionality even in wired mode.

Physically, the BH1 weighs 238 grams and includes a U-shaped headband designed to distribute pressure more evenly. The memory foam earcups, wrapped in breathable PU leather, are built with extended wear in mind. For portability, the earcups rotate and fold inward.

The headphones use Bluetooth 6.0—an uncommon step beyond the more standard Bluetooth 5.3—with a wireless range of up to 10 meters. Dual-device pairing and low-latency transmission down to 38ms are included, appealing to users who switch between media and calls or need responsive audio for mobile gaming. Speaking of calls, a five-microphone environmental noise cancellation (ENC) system handles voice pickup and background filtering.

Additional features include a transparency mode to allow external sound through when needed, touch-based playback controls, and support for voice assistants. Settings can be further customized using the Baseus app.

The BH1 is offered in three finishes: Star Moon White, Interstellar Black, and Nebula Pink.

Alongside the headphones, Baseus has also released a 12-in-1 docking station with triple 4K display output and 100W power delivery, as well as a compact, foldable Qi2 magnetic wireless charger priced at around $23.
