Ayaneo’s KONKR Pocket Fit Elite launches in September for $399

Ayaneo, best known for its high-priced handheld gaming PCs, is preparing to expand its reach into a lower price tier with the launch of the Pocket Fit Elite. The new device will arrive in September under Ayaneo’s budget-friendly sub-brand, KONKR, with a starting price of $399.

The Pocket Fit Elite builds on the Pocket Fit, the first handheld in the KONKR line, but pushes the hardware further into premium territory. It features a six-inch 1080p display capable of running at 144Hz, paired with an 8,000 mAh battery designed for longer sessions. The device also incorporates Hall effect joysticks and triggers, which are increasingly favored in gaming hardware for their durability and resistance to stick drift.

Ayaneo has not yet confirmed which processor will power the Pocket Fit Elite. The name suggests it may ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, although the company has only confirmed that the base Pocket Fit model—announced earlier this summer—will use the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3. If the Elite does include a more powerful chip, it would mark the primary distinction between the two versions, offering higher performance for players willing to pay more.

The Pocket Fit Elite will run on Android, setting it apart from Ayaneo’s typical lineup of handheld PCs that run Windows and often cost upwards of $1,000. By pricing the new model at $399, the company is targeting a broader audience while still maintaining features that appeal to enthusiasts.

Ayaneo isn’t alone in chasing this segment. The handheld gaming market has grown increasingly competitive, with companies like ASUS, Lenovo, and even Valve pushing their own devices at varying price points. KONKR’s Pocket Fit line gives Ayaneo a chance to compete in the midrange market, where price-sensitive buyers still expect solid performance and reliable build quality.

Whether the Pocket Fit Elite can deliver on those expectations will likely depend on the processor choice—something Ayaneo has yet to reveal. Until then, the company’s September release will be closely watched by handheld gaming fans curious to see how KONKR positions itself in a market where affordability and performance must strike a careful balance.
