Asus has thrown down the gauntlet to Apple’s MacBook Pro with its ProArt P16, a powerful Windows laptop specifically designed for creative professionals. Packed with next-gen AMD Ryzen AI processors, a 50 TOPS NPU, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, the ProArt P16 promises to supercharge AI-powered workflows for creative tasks, productivity, and even gaming.
This top-of-the-line Copilot+ PC leverages localized AI to enhance efficiency and performance across a range of applications. Asus claims that the ProArt P16’s GPU significantly accelerates video editing in DaVinci Resolve, boosts AI speech enhancement in Adobe Premiere Pro, and delivers an impressive 600% improvement in 3D rendering with Autodesk Arnold. The laptop also comes bundled with exclusive Nvidia AI software like Nvidia Broadcast, RTX Video, and ChatRTX.

Designed to impress, the ProArt P16 is thinner and lighter than the M3-powered 16-inch MacBook Pro, while offering a slightly larger 3840×2400 4K OLED display (though with a 60Hz refresh rate compared to the MacBook Pro’s 120Hz). It boasts ample storage with a standard 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD (expandable to 2x 2TB) and up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory.
To future-proof the device, it supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and Type-A, USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 7.
Available for pre-order now, the Asus ProArt P16 comes with a tempting offer of a free three-month Adobe Creative Suite subscription and a six-month CapCut Pro license. However, its price tag of £2,499.99 might make you think twice before switching from your trusty MacBook Pro.
