ASUS launches ExpertCenter P500 Mini Tower targeted at small business users

ASUS has introduced the ExpertCenter P500 Mini Tower, a compact desktop aimed at small and mid-sized businesses seeking performance, efficiency, and long-term security support in a space-saving form factor. Launching in May 2025 across GCC markets, the P500MV is designed to cater to everyday business demands while addressing energy consumption and operational noise.

Built around Intel’s latest Core i7 processors and paired with ASUS’ own Tower Air Cooler, the P500 is engineered for stable performance across heavy workloads. ASUS claims it can outperform similar systems by up to 30%, thanks in part to its 95W TDP thermal profile and an upgraded cooling system. The setup includes three 6.7mm heat pipes and a 9cm fan, providing a reported 3,402 cm² heat dissipation area—significantly more than standard business desktops. Despite this, the system remains quiet, operating at just 24 decibels in low-noise mode, which could make it particularly well-suited for open-plan offices or remote work setups.

For companies looking to reduce power consumption without sacrificing capability, ASUS estimates energy savings of up to 38% compared to competing models—an appealing factor for businesses conscious of their environmental impact or utility bills.

The P500 also integrates ASUS ExpertGuardian for security management, including compliance with NIST SP 800-155 BIOS standards, TPM 2.0 hardware encryption, and physical security via a Kensington lock slot. Long-term support is addressed through a commitment to five-plus years of BIOS and driver updates, and a one-year subscription to McAfee+ Premium is included at launch.

ASUS also leans into hybrid work trends with AI ExpertMeet, a suite of tools aimed at improving virtual collaboration. Features include automatic meeting summaries, real-time translated subtitles for cross-language discussions, and noise reduction technology to help ensure clearer audio on calls—elements increasingly expected in workplace desktops post-pandemic.

Graphics performance can be upgraded as well, with an optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU available for users involved in design, video editing, or other visual-heavy tasks. While not essential for all users, the addition makes the P500 more versatile across different departments, from finance to marketing.

With a focus on efficiency, manageable acoustics, and professional-grade features, the ExpertCenter P500 Mini Tower appears tailored to meet the evolving needs of small business environments. Though ASUS positions it as a cost-effective choice, the final assessment will depend on regional pricing and how the system holds up under real-world business demands.
