Apple has unveiled its 2017 charts and trends, celebrating the most popular apps, music, and movies, across the App Store, Apple Music and iTunes. Editors and curators from Apple Music, App Store and iTunes highlight great content from indie artists and developers from around the globe.
 
Music
On Apple Music, Ed Sheehan tops album of the year with “÷” while Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” gets top song honors. Amr Diab’s album “معدي الناس” has shot up to #3 on the 2017 Arab World top album charts. Apple Music Up Next 2017 artists Khalid, Daniel Caesar and 6LACK all earned GRAMMY nominations as part of their success this year.

App Store editors identify four breakout trends in app culture for 2017: the introduction of AR (augmented reality) apps and games, the rise of real-time competitive gaming, apps focused on mindfulness and apps transforming how we access streaming services.
