Apple reports record Q4 2025 with strong Mac and services growth

Apple reported strong financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, with total revenue reaching $102.5 billion — an 8 percent increase compared to the same period last year — and quarterly profit of $27.5 billion. Earnings per share rose to $1.85, capping off a record fiscal year in which Apple’s total revenue hit $416 billion and earnings per share saw double-digit growth.

CEO Kevan Parekh attributed the results to continued customer loyalty and satisfaction, noting that Apple’s installed base of active devices reached a new high across all product categories and regions.

Mac sales were a standout this quarter, growing nearly 13 percent year-over-year to $8.7 billion. The growth is notable given that Apple did not launch new Mac models during the quarter — the latest M5 MacBook Pro only became available after the reporting period. Analysts suggest that back-to-school demand helped fuel the uptick, alongside ongoing interest in the MacBook Air and Mac Studio, which were updated earlier in the year.

The Services division, which includes Apple Music, iCloud, App Store, and Apple TV, continued to strengthen its role as a key revenue driver, rising 15 percent to $28.8 billion. The segment remains Apple’s fastest-growing business, accounting for more than a quarter of the company’s total revenue.

iPhone sales rose modestly to $49 billion, a 6 percent increase over last year. The newly launched iPhone 17 lineup and the iPhone Air, which arrived just days before the quarter closed, are expected to have a greater impact on Apple’s upcoming Q1 2026 results. Meanwhile, iPad revenue remained stable at $6.95 billion, and Wearables, Home, and Accessories — which includes Apple Watch and AirPods — posted $9 billion, roughly flat compared to last year.

Apple’s board declared a cash dividend of $0.26 per share, payable on November 13 to shareholders of record as of November 10.

Looking ahead, Apple expects its December quarter (Q1 2026) to be its strongest ever. The company projects revenue growth between 10 and 12 percent year-over-year, driven by anticipated double-digit iPhone growth and continued strength in Services. It also acknowledged approximately $1.4 billion in expected tariff-related costs next quarter.

The results underline Apple’s steady position amid a challenging global tech market — balancing mature product categories like the iPhone and iPad with consistent Services expansion and renewed momentum for the Mac lineup.
