With Apple’s September 9 launch event just days away, leaks are already offering a glimpse at what the iPhone 17 lineup may look like. Well-known leaker Evan Blass has shared images of cases from Urban Armor Gear (UAG), which appear to confirm some design changes across the new series.
According to the leak, the standard iPhone 17 will largely mirror the design of the iPhone 16, while the higher-end Pro models are expected to adopt a redesigned rear camera layout. The cases show repositioned cutouts to accommodate the updated module, along with dedicated spaces for Apple’s Action Button and the new Camera Control feature, which debuted with last year’s lineup.
The iPhone 17 Air, Apple’s expected entry-level model, stands out for its simplified rear camera system. The UAG case shows a pill-shaped housing with a single lens, drawing comparisons to Google’s Pixel phones. Despite its pared-down camera setup, the Air model still includes cutouts for both the Action Button and Camera Control, suggesting Apple is extending these hardware features across its full range.

Apple has already confirmed the launch event for September 9 at 9 pm UAE time to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. Alongside the four new iPhone models—the iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max—Apple is expected to introduce other hardware and software updates as part of its fall showcase.
As always with case leaks, details should be treated cautiously, but UAG’s track record and the timing of this release give the images added weight. If accurate, the cases suggest Apple is sticking with familiar design language on its base models while giving the Pro editions a refreshed camera layout, possibly to accommodate new sensors or upgraded optics.
