Apple today announced a major expansion of its Apple Developer Academy program, introducing a new core curriculum focused on artificial intelligence (AI). Starting this fall, thousands of students and alumni across 18 academies in six countries will gain access to this cutting-edge training.
The comprehensive curriculum will equip students with the skills to build, train, and deploy machine learning models across Apple devices. Courses will cover the fundamentals of AI technologies and frameworks, Apple’s Core ML for high-performance machine learning on Apple devices, and practical guidance on developing AI models from scratch.
This AI training will complement the academy’s existing programs in coding, design, marketing, and professional skills, further preparing students for careers in the thriving iOS app economy and beyond. It also aligns with Apple’s commitment to fostering inclusive design and positive impact through technology.
In addition to the new curriculum, students will benefit from Apple’s latest advancements announced at WWDC24, such as Xcode 16 and Swift 6. These tools provide enhanced developer productivity and empower students to build even more exceptional projects and apps.
The new AI curriculum will be available to Apple Developer Academy students and alumni in Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and the United States starting this fall.
