Amazfit unveils Falcon 2 Titanium Edition with enhanced GPS tracking and dual-band positioning

Amazfit has introduced a Tactical Black edition of its T-Rex 3 Pro 44 mm smartwatch in the US, adding another variation to its durability-focused wearable line. The same finish appeared in China earlier this month under the Onyx Black label, and listings across the company’s European storefronts indicate that wider availability is on the way. While the new color option shifts the device’s visual tone toward a more subdued, utilitarian look, the underlying hardware and software remain consistent with the existing 44 mm and 48 mm models.

The smartwatch continues to emphasize rugged outdoor performance without departing from the formula established by earlier T-Rex releases. One of the clearer distinctions between the Pro models and the standard T-Rex 3 is the integrated dual-color flashlight built into the frame. It’s a practical upgrade rather than a stylistic flourish, aimed at users who frequently move between low-light conditions and outdoor environments where carrying extra gear is inconvenient.

For navigation, the T-Rex 3 Pro 44 mm supports route planning and offline maps, a combination that appeals to hikers and runners who spend long stretches away from mobile networks. Its six-satellite positioning system is intended to improve tracking accuracy during outdoor activities, though real-world performance typically depends on terrain, tree coverage, and weather conditions. The inclusion of a built-in speaker and microphone allows for Bluetooth calling, which is increasingly standard across mid-range and premium wearables. Fitness and health tracking cover more than 180 activity modes along with monitoring for heart rate, skin temperature, and sleep. These tools don’t dramatically expand the smartwatch landscape, but they place the T-Rex 3 Pro within the broader category of general-purpose fitness watches that lean heavy on outdoor resilience.

The 1.32-inch AMOLED display offers solid visibility, and the battery life—rated at around 19 days under typical use—positions the watch as a long-lasting option compared with many feature-heavy competitors. Its design still prioritizes durability and straightforward physical controls, attributes that appeal to users who prefer robust hardware over minimalist aesthetics. At the same time, its mix of fitness functions and communication tools makes it suitable for everyday use rather than a niche outdoor-only device.

The Tactical Black T-Rex 3 Pro 44 mm is currently available in the US for 379.99 dollars, a slight reduction from its original 399.99 dollar price.
