Adyen has expanded its in-person payments portfolio in the UAE with the introduction of two new terminals—the S1E4 Pro and S1F4 Pro—aimed at improving transaction efficiency and reliability across retail, food and beverage, hospitality, and service environments. The launch reinforces the company’s ongoing investment in hardware solutions that meet the operational needs of businesses handling high transaction volumes and diverse payment preferences.
The S1E4 Pro is positioned as a durable, all-in-one mobile point-of-sale (POS) terminal designed to handle demanding conditions such as crowded restaurants, busy bars, and event venues. Built with IP-65 spill and dust resistance and tested for 1.5-meter drop protection, the device addresses the real-world challenges of constant use in fast-paced settings. Its 6.1-inch screen enhances visibility, while features like a hand strap, PCI 6 certification, and readiness for PCI 7 compliance contribute to its usability and security.
Operating on Android 13 OS, the terminal allows merchants to integrate their existing business applications, streamlining functions such as order management, payment processing, and inventory control. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, and comprehensive multi-payment support—covering contactless, chip, swipe, and QR code transactions.

The S1F4 Pro, meanwhile, focuses on mobility and versatility. It can function as both a countertop and portable device, featuring an integrated printer that allows staff to process payments and print receipts anywhere on the shop floor. This flexibility is particularly suited to retail and hospitality settings where reducing customer wait times is crucial. The S1F4 Pro runs on Android 13, supports all major payment methods and currencies, and features a large 6.7-inch display, Octa-core processor, and long battery life. It also includes front and rear cameras and a QR code scanner, broadening its use beyond standard payment functions.
According to Derk Busser, Vice President of Product at Adyen, the new devices were developed in direct response to customer feedback. “By listening closely to our customers, we’ve identified key gaps in both our previous offering and the broader market,” he said. “These new terminals address those needs—whether that’s providing a rugged device for F&B or a mobile terminal for retail that can print—offering reliable, high-performance tools built for different business contexts.”
The S1E4 Pro and S1F4 Pro will be available for order in the UAE, Europe, the UK, North America, and New Zealand in the first quarter of 2026, with further rollouts planned for Mexico, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the second quarter.
