The Mi 11 Lite 5G NE surprisingly delivers a very good display, performance and a capable camera setup.
Xiaomi is expanding its Mi 11 line in the UAE, and have introduced the Xiaomi 11T, Xiaomi 11T Pro, and refreshed and stylish Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. Today we are reviewing the youngest member of the family, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE.
Design and display
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is slim and weighs 158g and has a thickness of 6.8mm. The overall feel and look of the phone is great, light in the hand and looks / feels very premium.
Xiaomi has used a side mounted fingerprint scanner on the right side of this phone doubling up as the power button. On the bottom, you have our standard type-C USB port and SIM tray.
Display wise, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE packs a 6.55” AMOLED DotDisplay with 10-bit TrueColor support and Dolby Vision. We got to say, the display is truly stunning and delivers some great looking colors and brightness and contrast. The display supports up to 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. Overall, Xiaomi has upgraded the model which now puts it ahead of other smartphones in the same category.
Xiaomi has launched the Mi 11 Lite 5G NE in four choices of stylish colors: Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, and Peach Pink, and a brand-new color (the one we are reviewing) – Snowflake White, which is more matte and frosted.

Performance & battery
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE Features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform, with a 4,250mAh battery and 33W fast charging that powers up in no time. Graphics wise, the device is loaded with the Adreno 642L GPU.
The Snapdragon 778G provides a pretty good performance for the price, and is available with 3 different combinations: 6GB+128GB / 8GB+128GB / 8GB+256GB.
We’ve tested the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G through standard daily tasks like browsing, texting, checking and comparing emails, using different social media apps and watching videos on Youtube, everything went very well and at ease without any issues no lags. We did not really put the he Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE on any gaming tests considering this category of phones is not designed for gaming, but we can also confirm that the device handled standard games which do not require a lot of processing power well.
As mentioned, The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE packs a 4,250mAh battery which easily took us throughout the day. Xiaomi is including its 33W fast charger inside the box which can fill up the battery in around 70 mins.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE runs MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.
Camera
Continuing the camera heritage of the Xiaomi 11 Family, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is loaded with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP telemacro camera. All this is supported by AI features, including One-click AI cinema, cinematic video filters, and a new Vlog mode.
The overall camera performance is good and delivers what you expect from a mid-range smartphone. The main sensor on Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE captures great close-ups and wide shots with a lot of details. Captured photos have good colors reproduction, and are vibrant.
Macro mode is decent and does the Job, with some distortion sometimes on extreme close ups.
Lowlight shots are good, and takes some tweaking to get the prefect shot sometimes, depending on how dark the setting is.
The selfies work as expected in well lit conditions, and tend to be a bit blurry in darker conditions.

Verdict
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is a good mid-range smartphone that packs a slim, lightweight body and loaded with the options that are ahead of the competition in this range.
