Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus review!

The Aurvana In-Ear 3 Plus is an interesting pair of earphones. It has a bolder design than the In-Ear 2 Plus that confused me a little, but it wasn’t the worst thing I have ever seen.

Performance

The In-Ear 3 Plus fails in comparison to its predecessor and lacks the good bass display that the In-Ear 2 Plus gave.

The earphones are loud, and it hinders the listening experience. I found that with most tracks, no matter the genre, the vocals were too loud and took away from the instruments. Even with tracks like Lane Boy by Twenty-One Pilots, I wasn’t able to listen to Josh’s infectious drum beat without feeling like Tyler was screaming into my ears. Yes, I’m aware that I can turn the volume down – but when I do that, it isn’t at a volume that I enjoy.

Although, the In-Ear 3 Plus does well with acoustic tracks. Tracks such as Blind Man In Amsterdam by George Ezra bring out the nicer aspects of the earphones. The vocals are clear with the instruments soft and calming, as intended.

But that sadly isn’t enough for me to love these earphones. The audio quality simply does not have that punch and delivers flat performances for even the most upbeat tracks.

The In-Ear 3 Plus does leak quite a bit of sound and doesn’t do too well of a job canceling out noise, but that could just be because they were pretty loose fitting for myself.

Comfort and Design

Unlike the In-Ear 2 Plus, these earphones are more sturdy and seem very durable. I like the cloth cable that comes with the In-Ear 3 Plus. It’s surprisingly elegant and offers a unique look, especially with the color it comes in.

The earbuds do fit well in the ears and don’t fall out too often, but I do find myself needed to nudge them in every now and then to prevent them from falling out. The design of the earbuds are rather bulky and bold, something I don’t quite fancy especially since they are very noticeable even with my hair covering it.

The inline mic and volume control do its job well, with the volume control having a sliding function similarly to the previous Aurvana model.

But unfortunately, the In-Ear 3 Plus doesn’t thrill me and I’ve found myself going back to the In-Ear 2 Plus, where I can listen to my heavy music in bliss.
