UGREEN’s Nexode Pro series has taken the charging world by storm, offering a range of options catering to diverse needs. From the compact and powerful 65W to the monstrous 160W beast, each charger promises a unique blend of speed, portability, and versatility. But how do they fare in real-world use? Let’s delve into the reviews and see which Nexode Pro is right for you.

65W Pocket Rocket

The Nexode Pro 65W strikes a sweet spot, packing a punch while maintaining a travel-friendly size. Its ability to quickly charge laptops, tablets, and smartphones is a life saver while on the go. It can even charge a MacBook Air around 50% in just 30 minutes.

The 65W charger has 3 ports. Two USB-C ports, one of which is capable of delivering the full 65W, and a single USB-A port. This allows you to simultaneously charge a laptop, phone, and tablet, eliminating the need for multiple chargers.

Despite its muscle, the Nexode Pro boasts a surprisingly compact design. Utilizing GaN technology, the charger is significantly smaller and lighter than traditional power bricks, making it ideal for travel or tossing in your bag.

Unleashing the Beast, 100W Powerhouse in Your Pocket

The Nexode Pro 100W ups the ante with blistering speeds, charging a 14-inch MacBook Pro to 50% in a mere 27 minutes. We were impressed by its ability to handle even the most demanding devices with ease.

Similar to the 65W, the 100W variant has two USB-C ports and a single USB-A, offering ample charging options. While its compact design is great, given the extra weight it would be great to have one more port.

Power shouldn’t come at the cost of safety, and the Nexode Pro prioritizes both. UGREEN has equipped the charger with a suite of protective measures, including over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protection. This isn’t limited to this charger only, as it applies to all three chargers we have listed here.

Charging Untamed, 160W Powerhouse for Power Users

The Nexode Pro 160W reigns supreme in raw power, delivering a staggering 140W through its main USB-C port. It can charge a 16-inch MacBook Pro to 50% in around 27 minutes, making it a true charging champion. Its four ports, three USB-C and one USB-A, offer ultimate versatility.

The Nexode Pro 160W comes with a whopping four ports: three USB-C ports, one delivering the full 140W, and one USB-A port. This opens up a world of possibilities, allowing you to simultaneously charge a laptop, tablet, two smartphones, and even a Nintendo Switch. Eliminating the need for a tangled mess of chargers and still keeping everyone happy.

Despite its monstrous power output, the Nexode Pro 160W manages to maintain a surprisingly compact design thanks to GaN technology. This translates to a significantly smaller and lighter charger compared to its competitors, making it a travel hero and a welcome addition to any bag

The size and weight make the 160W less portable than the 65/100W options. Still this device it’s great on long travel trips, as it reduces the number of chargers to carry.

Overall Concerns

There is one overarching concern for all these chargers, especially for the 160W charger. Thats a lot of power draw for a standard charging brick. We have not faced any issues, even when using it with an extension cord, so your mileage may vary.

Lastly, the plug is a fixed 3 pin UK style plug, without grounding. This means when traveling you might need to plug this into a travel adapter for certain countries. The large/weighty size might make this a bif on issue when plugging into the wall as the charger can fall our of the plug. Still if you carry a small compact extension or if you ballast the chargers, then it won’t be an issue.

The Verdict: A Charger for Every Need

Ultimately, the best Nexode Pro for you depends on your individual needs. For portability and solid performance, the 65W is a great choice. If you crave the fastest speeds and prioritize charging a single device, the 100W shines. And for power users who need to tame even the most demanding devices simultaneously, the 160W is unmatched. Remember, minor quirks exist across all models, but they don’t overshadow the overall positive experience. Do your research, consider your needs, and find the Nexode Pro that unlocks your charging potential.
