Apple Music has wrapped up its Top 500 countdown, unveiling the most-streamed tracks globally to mark its 10-year anniversary. The streaming service, which launched in 2015, revealed the final set of rankings this week, with Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You claiming the top spot.
Shape of You achieved record-breaking milestones since its release, spending over 1,000 days atop at least one country’s chart and setting the record for the biggest global first-day pop debut in Apple Music history. The track’s widespread appeal across demographics and regions underscores its enduring popularity in the streaming era.
Taking second place is Blinding Lights by The Weeknd, which maintained a position in the Global Daily Top 10 for over 180 days. The Canadian artist also secured nine total entries within the Top 500 list, the most among R&B acts.
Rounding out the top three is Drake’s God’s Plan, crowned Apple Music’s most-streamed hip-hop song. With 27 tracks featured on the list, Drake holds the distinction of being the most represented artist overall, reflecting his dominance in streaming culture over the past decade.
Other notable highlights from Apple Music’s Top 500:
- Taylor Swift comes in second for overall entries with 14 songs, with Cruel Summer ranking highest at No. 57.
- Billie Eilish leads the alternative category with nine tracks, illustrating her strong influence in reshaping alt-pop in recent years.
- Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road is the highest-ranking country song at No. 60, showcasing its viral crossover impact.

Apple Music has also launched Replay All Time, a personalised feature that compiles users’ most-streamed songs since they joined the service, adding a nostalgic and engaging dimension to the milestone.
Additionally, the company is marking the occasion with a week of special programming on Apple Music Radio and has unveiled a new artist hub in Los Angeles. The facility includes advanced radio studios, Spatial Audio mixing rooms, and a 4,000-square-foot soundstage to support Apple’s growing investment in music production and content.
