The “One Country Calls” plan allows customers to make international calls more affordably and conveniently, addressing one of the biggest challenges faced by the UAE’s large expatriate population — staying connected with loved ones back home.
Subscribers on Virgin Mobile UAE’s 14GB plans or higher will receive 500 free international minutes each month to one selected country from a list of 21 destinations. The company has also made the feature accessible to customers on smaller plans through a paid add-on called the “One Country Calls” booster, which costs AED 59 per month.
According to the company, the new offer is designed to simplify international communication without adding complexity to users’ mobile experience. Customers can select their preferred destination and activate the feature directly through the Virgin Mobile UAE app, available to both new and existing users.
The offer targets a diverse base of UAE residents who frequently call their home countries, especially those from South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa — regions that account for a large share of the country’s expatriate community. With a straightforward activation process and a monthly allowance of minutes that can cover regular personal communication, the plan positions itself as a practical alternative to conventional international calling rates or third-party calling apps.
