Primark has opened its second store in Dubai at City Centre Mirdif, arriving just two weeks after its initial UAE location at Dubai Mall. The move forms part of the retailer’s expansion in the region through its partnership with Alshaya Group.
The new store covers more than 35,000 square feet on a single sales floor and is expected to employ over 300 staff. Situated in a long-established family-oriented area of the city, it offers Primark’s range of clothing, beauty products, and homeware in a modern retail setting. Shoppers will find everyday essentials alongside collaborations with Disney, the NBA, and the NFL, as well as the retailer’s higher-end The Edit collection for men, women, younger children, and home.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening, attended by Ghansham “G” Pindoria, Vice President of Primark Middle East, Andre Melo from Majid Al Futtaim Malls, Huda Almazmi of City Centre Mirdif, and Mohammed Feras Arayqat from Dubai Festival Retail Establishment.
Jose Luis Martinez De Larramendi, Director of International Expansion at Primark, noted the positive customer response to the first store and said the Mirdif location would help reach more shoppers across Dubai. Ghansham Pindoria added that the store brings the brand’s mix of fashion and affordability closer to local communities while maintaining an engaging in-store experience.
Primark plans to open a third Dubai store at Mall of the Emirates later this spring. Further openings are scheduled for Bahrain at City Centre Bahrain and Qatar at Doha Festival City later in 2026. These steps will bring Primark’s total international presence to 21 markets worldwide.
The expansion reflects steady growth for the retailer in the Middle East following its UAE entry. With over 480 stores across Europe, the US, and now the Middle East, Primark continues to focus on physical retail spaces that aim to deliver accessible fashion and everyday items at competitive prices.
