Lego unveils new buildable arcade machine set with hidden gaming room

Lego has announced the upcoming release of its latest retro-inspired set: a miniature arcade machine packed with playful hidden details. Launching on August 1st, 2025, for $39.99, the new buildable arcade set adds another nostalgic addition to Lego’s growing collection of gaming-themed models.

The set includes 468 pieces and stands approximately six inches tall when fully assembled. While it does not feature a playable game, the exterior showcases a generic space-themed arcade cabinet design that pays homage to classic gaming aesthetics. However, the true appeal of this set lies in its hidden interior details.

The front of the arcade machine opens to reveal a compact gaming room scene built entirely from Lego bricks. Inside, builders will find a tiny sofa, a TV, miniature game consoles, and an even smaller arcade machine, creating a layered diorama within the model. The room also features wall decor inspired by other Lego sets, adding extra charm for long-time fans of the brand.

This arcade machine set is smaller and less complex than Lego’s previous buildable Pac-Man arcade, which featured a working crank to simulate gameplay. However, the new set’s accessible price point and imaginative hidden room design are likely to appeal to collectors, retro gaming enthusiasts, and casual builders looking for a display-friendly piece with interactive elements.

Lego has consistently explored nostalgic pop culture themes, and this set continues that trend by merging gaming history with Lego’s signature build-and-reveal mechanics. The combination of an arcade cabinet exterior and a hidden living room interior makes it a unique conversation piece that showcases both Lego’s design creativity and its commitment to building experiences that surprise and delight.

The Lego Arcade Machine set will be available globally through Lego stores and online from August 1st, 2025.
