flydubai has announced a major upgrade to its onboard experience, confirming that from November 2025 all Economy Class fares will include complimentary meals and inflight entertainment. The move marks a significant step in the Dubai-based airline’s ongoing investment in enhancing customer satisfaction and redefining value across its network.
The announcement highlights flydubai’s continued focus on improving every stage of the travel journey, positioning the carrier as a leading player in the region’s competitive aviation landscape.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, described the new offering as a strategic evolution in the airline’s business model. “Redefining the Economy Class offering across all flights represents a major shift toward a more convenient and elevated travel experience,” he said. “By listening to customer feedback and anticipating changes in the market, flydubai continues to strengthen its role in supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for trade and tourism.”

The airline’s latest move builds on years of steady investment in customer-focused initiatives, from a dedicated Business Class check-in area and an exclusive lounge at Dubai International’s Terminal 2, to fleet modernization and onboard product upgrades.
Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, said the timing of the change reflects the company’s growth and network expansion. “Our adaptable business model allows us to evolve quickly,” he explained. “By including meals and inflight entertainment in every Economy Class ticket, we’re adding value for passengers while maintaining competitive fares.”
The new inflight entertainment system will offer passengers access to over 1,000 films across multiple languages, including Hollywood, Bollywood, Arabic, and international titles. It will also feature popular TV shows from networks such as HBO Max, BBC Kids, and Cartoon Network, along with games, music albums, podcasts, e-magazines, and destination guides.
Complementing the enhanced entertainment offering, Economy Class passengers will now enjoy thoughtfully prepared meals, snacks, and beverages throughout the flight. Menus will feature regional flavors reflecting the airline’s diverse network, with dishes inspired by African, Middle Eastern, Indian, European, Russian, and Southeast Asian cuisines.
flydubai continues to strengthen its fleet to meet growing demand, having added nine new Boeing 737s so far this year, bringing the total to 95 aircraft. Three more deliveries are expected by the end of 2025. The airline is also retrofitting its existing Boeing 737-800s with upgraded Business and Economy Class seats for improved comfort and consistency across the fleet.
Looking ahead, flydubai will introduce the Boeing 787 Dreamliner in 2027, expanding its long-haul capabilities and offering greater comfort on extended routes.
