Dyson Red Velvet and Gold return to the UAE

Dyson is reintroducing its Red Velvet and Gold colourway for Ramadan 2026 in the UAE, bringing back a limited-edition finish across selected haircare devices. The return of the Dyson Red Velvet and Gold collection aligns with seasonal demand for premium gifting, particularly during Ramadan, when presentation and personalisation often carry added cultural significance.

Rather than positioning colour as decoration alone, Dyson’s internal Colours, Materials and Finishes (CMF) team approaches it as part of the product’s industrial design. Red has long appeared on Dyson machines as a functional accent, typically highlighting key interaction points or technical components. For this Ramadan release, the company extends that approach into a deeper ceramic-inspired red paired with metallic gold detailing. The palette draws loosely from the historical use of red pigments such as red ochre, one of the earliest known artistic materials, while adapting it to contemporary consumer electronics.

The Red Velvet and Gold finish is now available on the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x™ multi-styler and dryer, priced at AED 2,699, and the Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer, priced at AED 2,299. Both are sold through Dyson Demo Stores and online in the UAE.

The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x™ uses the company’s Hyperdymium™ 2 motor, designed to generate increased air pressure for faster drying and improved wrapping performance. It offers multiple styling functions — drying, curling, waving, straightening, smoothing and volumising — while relying on controlled airflow rather than extreme heat. The Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ incorporates Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to personalise a hair profile and automate parts of the curling process through preset sequences. While connected features are becoming more common across personal care devices, their long-term value depends largely on how consistently users integrate app-based adjustments into daily routines.

In addition to hardware, Dyson continues to expand its topical haircare portfolio. The Omega™ nourishing range, formulated with the Oli7™ blend and sunflower oil sourced through Dyson Farming, is positioned for moisture and strength support. The Chitosan™ styling range uses chitosan derived from oyster mushrooms to provide flexible hold and frizz control. As with most styling systems, results will vary depending on hair type, technique and environmental conditions, though Dyson’s strategy reflects a broader industry shift toward combining devices with proprietary formulations.

Each Red Velvet and Gold device is packaged in a coordinating presentation case, with optional in-store debossing for personalisation. This reflects the growing importance of customisation in the premium beauty segment, particularly during Ramadan gifting cycles in markets such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The return of the Dyson Red Velvet and Gold collection is less about technical change and more about seasonal positioning. For consumers already considering a Dyson Airwrap purchase, the limited-edition finish offers an alternative aesthetic tied to Ramadan gifting traditions. For others, the decision will likely remain grounded in performance, durability and overall value rather than colour alone.
