Glitch World debuts anime concept at Art in Space Dubai

A new anime concept titled “Glitch World” is set to make its first public appearance in Dubai later this month, as Aniline Studio prepares to unveil the project at Art in Space Dubai. The showcase will run from January 24 to January 30, positioning the project within a broader digital art and experimental media setting rather than a traditional entertainment launch.

The exhibition is designed as an introductory experience rather than a finished release. Visitors will be presented with an animated trailer for “Glitch World,” alongside life-sized character models and a selection of visual materials tied to the project’s early development. Merchandise such as posters, pins, badges, and keychains will also be available, reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a concept-driven presentation rather than a commercial rollout of a completed series.

In addition to static displays, the event will include interactive elements aimed at younger audiences and anime fans. These include mystery-themed computer games, an AI-powered character interaction housed in a HoloBox installation, and a photo area styled around the project’s visual language. The opening day is planned as a limited-access preview for anime-focused visitors, with regional artists, gaming creators, and digital culture influencers expected to attend across the week.

“Glitch World” was conceived by Diana Koroleva, a 12-year-old creator whose work blends character illustration, animation, and game-inspired storytelling. The project draws from established anime aesthetics while introducing an original cast of characters with distinct personalities and abilities. The narrative centers on four leads—Glitch, Virus-Yamiko, Maya, and Tenshi—designed as part of a broader fictional universe that is still being refined.

Koroleva’s creative background includes character sketching, avatar animation, and early experimentation with interactive platforms. She has previously worked on a virtual game environment titled Mystery Life and later adapted those characters into a short indie anime project. Japanese culture and language have been cited as key influences on her visual approach, particularly in how emotion and atmosphere are conveyed through design.

While “Glitch World” remains in an early development phase, Aniline Studio has indicated plans to expand the concept beyond animation. Future ideas include a psychological, age-appropriate horror game built around a visual novel format, as well as interactive digital experiences involving AI-driven characters. These plans suggest a cross-media strategy that blends anime, gaming, and virtual interaction rather than focusing solely on a linear series.

The exhibition will also feature daily prize draws for registered visitors, including mystery boxes and a headline smart eyewear prize on the opening day. Art in Space Dubai, which hosts the event, positions itself as a hybrid gallery and creative lab, offering an environment suited to experimental digital projects that sit between art, technology, and entertainment.
