When Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor released a few years ago, it was a sleeper hit no one expected. The critically acclaimed Nemesis system in the game provided a twist to the game that players embraced with excitement. Earlier this year we saw the much-hyped announcement trailer for the sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, release and a short while later we saw the gameplay trailer for the game. Now, the story trailer has released and can be viewed below.
The trailer is full of orcs, trolls, beheadings, the Nazgul, Sauron, Talion and Celebrimbor, and numerous other references to Tolkien lore. The last game left with the protagonists, Talion and Celebrimbor, setting out to forge a new ring of power. As can be seen in the trailer, they’ve succeeded which has caused Sauron to send all nine Nazgul (or Ringwraiths) after them to capture the newly forged ring.
Nothing will be forgotten.
Shadow of War was initially set to release on August 22, 2017. Instead, it has been postponed to October 10th and will be available on Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, PlayStation 4.
