Following the recent major update for the world’s most played mobile MOBA with new features and content, Honor of Kings is now more enjoyable for both current players and newcomers alike. This is coupled with the announcement of a major esports initiative – The Open Series – aimed specifically at identifying and nurturing the stars of the future.
Here are some of the major changes players will encounter:
New Heroes
It’s time to welcome Garo, Allain, and Heino to Hero’s Gorge
· Don’t be fooled by Garo’s calm persona and elegant demeanor as her archery skills are second to none and she will pin down enemies from afar with her longbow. Her ultimate provides a buff for the whole team adding attack speed and critical hits.
· Heino benefits from having two forms – one for ranged and the other for up close and personal melee attacks. His ultimate goal allows him to turn back time and with it the potential to change the battle’s outcome.
· He may seem kindhearted, but on the battlefield Allain unleashes major damage with his twin swords, slaying enemies one after another. Charge up his ultimate to launch into the air and become untargetable, while dealing damage from on high.
Arcade Mode features fun and exhilarating variants of the classic Honor of Kings experience designed to attract those seeking a more casual way to play and initially offers two new games:
Bubble Scramble – In this fast-paced 3v3 mode players fight to collect Easter Eggs, with the team carrying a total of 20 eggs for over 20 seconds claiming victory. But be warned, if a player is killed all their collected eggs are dropped.
Mountain of Flames – Honor of Kings turns up the heat with a map featuring rivers of molten lava. Teams of 5v5 will obtain special skills allowing them to push opponents into the lava inflicting major damage. The first team to 30 kills wins.
New and enhanced features aimed at improving the gameplay experience:
Battlefield Events Timeline – A new addition to help players familiarize themselves with the key moments in battles. The dynamic timeline displays a snapshot of all the action plus a Boss refresh countdown.
Hero Guides – Further videos will be added to the library, providing even more tactics for each Hero to help gain the advantage, or escape tricky situations.
Performance Recap – After a set number of matches, players will receive a report highlighting their recent positive achievements.
Other updated features include ranking board adjustment, improvements to the share function, and the addition of a new achievement system.
