In a recent earnings call, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI, the highly anticipated next installment in the blockbuster franchise, is expected to launch in the fall of 2025.
This announcement comes after previous estimates placed the release sometime in 2025. While recent reports hinted at a possible delay, Zelnick assured investors and fans alike that Take-Two is confident in meeting the fall 2025 target.
During the earnings call, Take-Two also revealed that the Grand Theft Auto franchise has sold over 425 million units, with Grand Theft Auto V alone accounting for 200 million of those sales.
Despite this positive news, there’s still some turbulence behind the scenes at Rockstar Games. Reports of employee discontent over a return-to-office mandate and recent layoffs have caused some concern, although Take-Two denies the extent of these issues.
Regardless, the anticipation for Grand Theft Auto VI continues to build, and fans are eager to see what Rockstar Games has in store for them in this next chapter of the iconic open-world series.
