EA SPORTS has rolled out EA SPORTS FC 26, marking the next major chapter in its rebranded football franchise. Now available worldwide across consoles, PC, and mobile, the release highlights community-driven changes, new gameplay presets, and an expanded set of modes designed to appeal to both casual fans and competitive players.

This year, EA is also introducing FC 26 Showcase, a limited free-to-download preview that offers access to Kick-Off, Clubs Rush, and Football Ultimate Team with progress that carries over to the full game. It’s a strategic move to draw in hesitant players while giving them a taste of the ecosystem without upfront cost.
On the pitch, FC 26 features overhauled gameplay fundamentals guided by fan feedback, with two new presets—Authentic Gameplay, geared toward realism in Career mode, and Competitive Gameplay, designed for FUT and Clubs. Archetypes inspired by football greats add individuality to player careers, while Manager Live Challenges inject evolving storylines into Career mode. FUT itself expands with new Live Events, Tournament modes, and a revamped Rivals and Champs setup.
Mobile players aren’t left out. The FC Mobile 26 Update brings refreshed visuals, updated rosters with over 100 new Star Heads, tactical tweaks with more formations, and fan-voted rewards through the Anniversary Event. The update even includes an in-game simulcast of MLS matches, continuing EA’s experiments with blending live football and interactive play.
The launch also emphasizes EA’s ongoing bid for authenticity, boasting rights to over 20,000 players, 750+ clubs, 130 stadiums, and 35 leagues, including UEFA competitions, CONMEBOL tournaments, and top women’s leagues such as the Frauen-Bundesliga, Liga F, and NWSL. It’s the kind of licensing breadth that EA has long used to separate FC from rivals.
The company is actively pushing player involvement through the FC Feedback Hub, encouraging fans to report issues and propose improvements directly. It’s part of EA’s framing of FC as “the world’s game, shaped by its players”—a nod to how live-service sports titles now evolve as much through community input as developer roadmaps.
With FC 26, EA is balancing its legacy of licenses and scale with an increased emphasis on feedback-driven design. For players, the result is more options in how to play, whether through competitive FUT grinds, immersive Career journeys, or mobile football on the go.
