PUBG MOBILE’s Version 4.1 update has arrived, bringing a full winter-themed experience and a long list of gameplay upgrades, collaborations, and community events that will run through January 5, 2026. The new “Frost Festival” content invites players to dive into Frosty Funland, an expansive seasonal mode that transforms familiar maps into snowy playgrounds filled with interactive NPCs, themed trials, and exclusive rewards.
At the heart of the update is Penguinville, a bustling, snow-covered city built by a colony of inventive penguins who have migrated from their melting homeland. Players can explore this frozen metropolis on maps like Erangel, Livik, and Vikendi, meet quirky penguin NPCs, and team up with PowNin, the Ninja Penguin—PUBG MOBILE’s first AI companion. PowNin can follow commands through voice or text, perform ninja-style attacks, and even heal itself mid-battle. The new Frosty Funland Themed Trial adds an extra layer of teamwork: squads must deliver party invites while surviving rival ambushes to unlock celebratory rewards and exclusive achievements.
Seasonal festivities continue with the Frost Festival Event, launching December 12. Players can visit Wintercrest Hall in Snowy Vale for supply drops, festive music, and decorative updates across Erangel and Livik. Vehicles now come with Winter Vehicle Speakers that play cheerful tunes, while a New Year Countdown Firework event lights up the skies. Adding a meaningful twist, PUBG MOBILE will donate $100,000 to penguin conservation projects once players collectively complete in-game challenges, with all participants receiving a digital charity certificate.
Beyond the winter celebrations, Version 4.1 also introduces major changes to Classic Mode. Firearms now feature refined handling, long-range damage adjustments, and improved audio for better situational awareness. Erangel gains a new Boatyard area and dynamic supply options, including Loot Trucks that drop crates based on the damage they take. A Crown of Glory item, available in PMGC-themed zones, grants health and energy boosts to nearby teammates—a nod to PUBG MOBILE’s esports community.
Competitive players can dive into Cycle 9 Season 27 and the new Ranked Arena Event, which runs through early January with Team Deathmatch, Assault, and Domination modes. Metro Royale’s Chapter 29 refresh adds Snow Crates, expanded collectibles, and updated gifting mechanics for deeper social engagement.
The update also enhances Home Mode with two new settings—Polar Wonderland and Esports Room—featuring interactive elements like slides, merry-go-rounds, and electric guitars. Players can personalize their spaces using new layout tools and participate in the returning Parking Lot system to earn tokens for exclusive items.
Meanwhile, the World of Wonder (WOW) creative platform continues to evolve with a new Resource Center for sharing prefabs, expanded mission customization, and improved visual programming tools for builders. New items and vehicles, such as the Penguin Snowmobile and Firework Launcher, give creators even more ways to craft unique gameplay experiences.
As always, PUBG MOBILE is setting up for a series of upcoming collaborations, including tie-ins with a luxury fashion label, a global automotive brand, and the highly anticipated return of a major K-pop group.
Version 4.1 represents one of PUBG MOBILE’s most comprehensive seasonal updates yet—combining community creativity, competitive depth, and lighthearted winter fun. The update is now live on iOS and Android, free to download via the App Store and Google Play.
