At Gamescom, Ubisoft announced the release dates for Virtual Reality titles Eagle Flight, Werewolves Within, and Star Trek: Bridge Crew. All three titles will be coming to PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive starting this October.
Eagle Flight, developed by FunHouse, a division of Ubisoft Montreal, sends players to the skies of Paris where as an eagle they will soar over the historic city and its iconic landmarks. Playable in single player and in the heart-pumping multiplayer “Capture the Prey” mode, players will feel the true sensation and exhilaration of flight. Eagle Flight will be released on Oculus Rift beginning October 18, PlayStation®VR beginning November 8, and HTC Vive beginning December 20.
Ascend to the stars, where no one has gone before in virtual reality, with Star Trek: Bridge Crew. Developed by Red Storm Entertainment, players will be beamed right into the action of a Starfleet ship as a member of the Federation, exploring space with a crew or solo as Captain.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew was designed exclusively for VR, capitalizing on the powerful sense of social presence possible through virtual reality. It will be available on all three platforms beginning November 29.
Players will be transported to the medieval village of Gallowston in Werewolves Within, a game of social deduction that brings the competitive fun of game night with friends to virtual reality. Developed by Red Storm Entertainment, a Ubisoft Studio, uncover the werewolves that have been terrorizing the townsfolk through fast-paced games with five to eight players. No two games are the same–one round you could be a villager, pleading your case for innocence, and the next round you could be a werewolf, lying your way to a win. Werewolves Within will be released on all major VR platforms beginning December 6.
Virtual reality will also be introduced into the arcade-racing universe of TrackMania Turbo. Thanks to a free patch, players will be able to enjoy the game on PlayStation VR beginning November 8.
Added to this was Ubisoft announcment of the Nosulus Rift, a unique experience exclusively compatible with South Park: The Fractured But Whole. This device, only available during conventions and not for sale, takes the virtual reality to a whole new level by allowing players to enjoy South Park: The Fractured But Whole in the most immersive way possible. A new perception through a sense that has never been tackled in gaming before: the sense of smell. To smell what exactly? Farts, obviously.
As in South Park: The Stick Of Truth, farts will be again the most powerful weapon players will be able to handle in its direct sequel, South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Through a specifically produced technology, the Nosulus Rift odor virtual reality mask will deliver the right smell each time the player makes use of his nefarious powers.
Developed by Productman, the Buzzman entity dedicated to the creation of products or services, with the assistance of various experts, including the famous French perfume specialist Isabelle Ferrand, the Nosulus Rift is a fully functional mask using sensors activated through inaudible soundwaves in the in-game fart sound. Each time the sensors are activated, they trigger the odor’s puff. Meticulously and without mercy.
Ubisoft also announced that The Crew Calling All Units, the second major expansion for The Crew action-driving MMO, will be available for download on November 29 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. The Ultimate Edition will also be released simultaneously.
Players will hit the road as a cop or street racer to prove their driving skills and team up in crews to take over the USA. This new police-chase fantasy will have a deep impact on the gameplay and on players’ experience all over the gigantic riding open world offered by The Crew.
Players will be introduced to this brand-new police versus racer gameplay through a twelve-mission story that will allow them to build up their own cop style and tactics, ride in fully tuned police vehicles and collect new parts, vehicles and XP.
In this always-on, all-terrain confrontation, each side will rely on a set of special abilities and a great variety of vehicles as they race across the US. As a member of the police, players chase street racers across the US in frantic, high-risk pursuits. They will perform successful arrests and get their hands on a wide range of exclusive cop vehicles, from exotic supercars to legendary motorbikes or indestructible SUVs, fully tuned up with police livery and light bar.Players who prefer to hit the roads as a racer will take off with cargo for heart-pounding rides and high rewards.

Watch Dogs 2 received an announcement in the form of a new mode named as Bounty Hunter. Bounty Hunter enriches the online component of Watch_Dogs 2 which is seamlessly integrated with the single-player experience.
In Watch Dogs 2, the player will meet other friendly Dedsec hackers while exploring the city and participate in optional Dedsec Events without loading screens or matchmaking requests. If the player chooses to team up with others players thanks any of the three seamless online modes, he will have access to Cooperative missions located across the San Francisco Bay Area.
A new approach to online play in Watch Dogs 2, the Bounty Hunter mode is tied to the police heat system and playable by two to four players. When a player creates too much chaos in the single player open world experience and is pursued by the police, the conflict may trigger a Bounty Hunter PVP event pitting the target against up to three rival hunter players who seamlessly join the pursuit and try to neutralize the target. Additionally, players can manually trigger a bounty on themselves using the Contacts app on Marcus’ in-game phone.
Another online mode players can experience is Hacking Invasion, a fan-favorite from the original Watch Dogs, the objective of this PVP mode is to download data from a target player while remaining undetected. Finally, Online Co-op, allows two players to team up seamlessly and lets players explore the San Francisco Bay Area and free roam in the city, or participate in almost limitless cooperative missions.
Also in co-op, players can participate in Online Hacking Invasion and Bounty Hunter activities, adding even more depth and excitement to their seamless online experience.
