Apple Arcade is adding a splash of nostalgia and family-friendly fun this summer with a series of crossover events featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. Available exclusively on the subscription-based gaming platform, these limited-time updates bring themed content to Snake.io+, Crossy Road Castle, and SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit, offering a fresh layer of gameplay for fans of the long-running animated franchise.
In Snake.io+, players can dive into an underwater-themed event running through August 25. Developed by Kooapps, this version of the multiplayer snake game introduces skins inspired by SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Plankton. Completing missions unlocks each character, turning the battlefield into a Bikini Bottom showdown.
Meanwhile, Crossy Road Castle is getting a major update with two back-to-back events. Starting July 21, the Krabby Patty Kollectathon will feature 40 levels themed around Bikini Bottom, where players can race as familiar characters while collecting patties and dodging jellyfish. The Jellyfish Jam follows from August 4 to August 17, adding a second wave of themed challenges.
For those looking for more of a single-player experience, SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit introduces a brand-new endless mode. Launched July 17, this update challenges players to navigate increasingly difficult side-scrolling levels without checkpoints or extra lives, making leaderboard placement a true test of skill and endurance.
These events join a growing slate of exclusive seasonal content on Apple Arcade. Earlier this summer, Fruit Ninja Classic+ partnered with Bluey for a themed event featuring custom wands and dojos, running through September 19. Additionally, Paddington has been featured in Crayola Create and Play+, where children can explore a British-themed world filled with interactive activities until August 26.
Apple Arcade continues to offer access to over 200 games without ads or in-app purchases.
