Microsoft adds the Outer Worlds 2 and PowerWash simulator 2 to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has unveiled the second wave of titles joining Xbox Game Pass for October 2025, headlined by The Outer Worlds 2 and PowerWash Simulator 2. The announcement follows Microsoft’s recent Game Pass tier changes and price adjustments, which rebrand the subscription into four main levels: Ultimate, Premium, Essential, and PC Game Pass.

The updated pricing now places Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at $29.99 per month (up from $19.99), while the new Premium and Essential tiers are priced at $14.99 and $9.99 respectively. PC Game Pass has also increased to $16.49.

The Wave 2 lineup adds several day-one launches across genres, from cooperative mech combat and city-building to sports management and sci-fi exploration. Available now are Commandos: Origins and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, while the next few weeks bring a mix of major releases and indie highlights.

Here’s what’s coming to Game Pass:

  • PowerWash Simulator 2 (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) – October 23
The sequel expands on the oddly satisfying formula of the original, offering new environments, upgraded equipment, and enhanced co-op play.
  • Bounty Star (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) – October 23
A hybrid of mech action and base-building, players control Clem, a former soldier navigating both combat and survival in a post-war desert.
  • Super Fantasy Kingdom (Game Preview) (PC) – October 24
A colorful roguelite city builder where players rebuild kingdoms, defend against monsters, and balance survival with expansion.
  • Halls of Torment (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) – October 28
A gothic roguelite that challenges players to survive against relentless waves of monsters using loot, upgrades, and strategy.
  • The Outer Worlds 2 (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) – October 29
Obsidian’s long-awaited sequel to its acclaimed sci-fi RPG lands directly on Game Pass. It promises new colonies, weapons, and storylines, with preorders open for the Premium Upgrade Edition offering early access and DLC.
  • 1000xResist (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) – November 4
A story-driven sci-fi adventure set in a post-invasion world where disease forces humanity underground. Players uncover secrets that challenge loyalty and identity.
  • Football Manager 26 (PC) – November 4
Built on the Unity engine, this year’s edition overhauls visuals and matchday presentation for a more immersive experience.
  • Football Manager 26 Console (Cloud, Console, PC) – November 4
A streamlined version designed for controller play, launching the same day across Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Microsoft also confirmed that a number of titles will leave Game Pass at the end of the month, with subscribers able to purchase them at up to 20 percent off before they exit the library.

While The Outer Worlds 2 headlines this wave, PowerWash Simulator 2 and Football Manager 26 underscore Microsoft’s commitment to variety across genres and play styles. The new tier system will likely shape how players access these experiences, as the company adjusts its subscription strategy for a more segmented audience heading into 2026.
